Wake Up America Banner

To all Muslims who are people of peace; to all Muslims who would like to peacefully co-exist in the same country or society with non-Muslims; to all Muslims in the U.S. who peacefully live in America and participate in the Rotary, Kiwanis or any number of non-denominational service organizations that can be found in Anytown, U.S.A.; this book is not critical of you. It is a plea, however, for you to speak out, to renounce radical Islam, and to renounce murder and beheadings in the name of your religion.

Nor is this book intended to invite Americans to view all Muslims with suspicion.  Tolerance, however, is a two-way street.  Muslims immigrating to our country should be tolerant of the customs and practices of Americans developed over two centuries of this American experiment in freedom.  This includes the freedom to criticize some parts of the Muslim religion that contradict our traditional notions of the sanctity of human life, the equality of opportunity for men and women; and to support the notion that we are all “endowed by (our) Creator with certain unalienable Rights, (including) Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Finally, for those who fear that books such as this will foster racism and bigotry, I suggest that such sentiment underestimates the fundamental goodness of the American people.  Any Muslim that joins in the call for the  reformation of radical Islam will be applauded.
